Holstein-Friesian cross: Holstein-Friesian is the world’s
highest milk-yielding cattle breed. The fat percentage in milk is
low. The breed is being used in crossbreeding with local
nondescript cattle to produce 50% crossbred cows with high milk
yield. The crossbred cows need better inputs in the form of green
fodder and concentrate feed to express their potential. There is
need for research on the problems of management, health,
reproduction and nutrition of the crossbred cows.
